How I got involved...

"Well, this is what happened. A friend of mine who is one of the founders of the Rainforest Information Centre in Lismore and who over the years has brought my attention to a number of environmental issues asked me would I present something on television about the degradation of the oldgrowth forests, and I asked him what he was talking about. He talked with me. He sent me information and we went out and took a look at some of what's happening and talked about the state of these forests."
